Hi, I’m Joemer.
I’m a digital and co-founder of a 7-figure headhunter agency called Shepherd. These days, I enjoy traveling while managing a team of 100+ remote workers. I also create travel vlogs on Youtube and occasionally speak at conferences like Feast.
But that wasn’t always the case.
I was once a rebellious teenager, a college dropout, and an overworked corporate worker who pulled long night shifts at a BPO company.
The journey from that point to where I am now feels like one giant roller coaster ride, one that’s full of ups and downs, adventures, challenges, but most of all — gratitude. I created this blog to document my journey and maybe share some inspiration along the way.
My biggest “why”
I’m doing this because I know a lot of Filipinos who grew up like me: kids who have had rough childhoods and young adults who don’t really fit into what society expects of them. If you’ve had the same experience and are feeling lost and confused, I’m here to tell you that it’s okay. Things will work out if you put in the work, look for opportunities, and stay grateful.
I also believe that more Filipinos need to know about remote work and how it can positively impact their lives. Personally, remote work has given me the opportunity to transform not just my life, but other lives too. In the past two years, our Shepherd team has grown to over 100 team members and we’re on the road to hire 2,000 Filipino talents.
Remote work has changed my life for the better…and I want fellow Filipinos to have the same experience.
