Speaking at FeastCon For The First Time

The Feast Conference is the Philippines’ biggest inspirational learning event where people gather to learn, be inspired, and worship together.

I first discovered The Feast back in 2012, when I was still working in the BPO industry. My co-worker Cris invited me to join Feast Mandaluyong (then called Call Center Feast) and I instantly fell in love with it.

I started by playing keyboards alongside Cris, who led the weekly worship. Since then, The Feast has played a big part in my life as an entrepreneur and as a person in general.

Thanks to The Feast, I got to meet a lot of amazing people while volunteering in different ministries. I even got to meet The Feast’s founder, Bro. Bo Sanchez, who continues to inspire me to this day. We even recorded a podcast episode together.

Full-circle moment

In previous Feast Conferences, I would serve as an assistant to the speakers. It feels both humbling and overwhelming that this time, I got to speak at FeastCon 2022. It truly was a full-circle moment for me!

This FeastCon was also extra special because it was the first face-to-face event since the pandemic. As remote work became increasingly popular, a lot of employers and employees struggled to remain productive.

Working from home was uncharted territory for most people and I was more than willing to help. FeastCon 2022 turned out to be the perfect opportunity to share my experience as someone who has worked from home for the past 7 years.

Work-from-home productivity

During my talk, I shared some tips and insights on how remote workers can stay motivated, connected, and productive even when they weren’t in a physical office. We also touched base on time management and how to keep working from home fun and engaging.

Pammy and I also got to share about Shepherd during the conference. We set up a booth where we interacted and assisted folks who were looking for permanent work-from-home opportunities.

(And if you’re reading this and are interested in starting your own WFH journey, feel free to explore the job openings we currently have at Shepherd.)

Greater Than

FeastCon 2022 lived up to its theme: Greater Than. Because despite everything that happened over the past couple of years — the pandemic, the giant shift in work, the challenges that came with starting a business — we truly were greater than these adversities.

If you’d like to join FeastCon 2023, feel free to check their website. I hope to see you there!
